Changing your background on RP+ is much easier done than said 
Allow me to take you through a step-by-step tutorial on how to do so:
1. Go to your profile. The link to it is directly under the "R" of the universal banner, or five to the right (six to the right for admin)
2. Click on the "Edit Profile" button.
3. Go to the "Settings" tab.
4. Scroll down to "Forum Theme".
5. Click the box that the arrow above is pointing to, You will have options to choose whichever background you would like!
